National Utility Contractors Association : ウィキペディア英語版 | National Utility Contractors Association The National Utility Contractors Association (''NUCA'') is a trade association representing the underground utility industry in the United States. Founded in 1964, NUCA is the largest trade association for this industry in the country, representing contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers involved in water, sewer, gas, electric, telecommunications and site work sectors of the industry. In the late 1980s NUCA publicly criticized the government Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) saying that they had an "antagonistic approach", did "little to improve safety conditions within the industry", and that OSHA officials were "out to get" contractors. However the organization advocated for safety in construction projects, for example urging contractors to use protective equipment to prevent excavation cave-ins in 2004. In December 2004 NUCA signed a two-year alliance with OSHA for the joint delivery of safety training. ==References==
